Upwell Garden Church is an emerging Christian community based in the amazing gardens around Upwell Methodist Church. The 2.5-acre historic gardens were originally belonged to a monastery and are planted with a number of rare trees. These gardens, already valued by the community and used by Scouts and Girls Brigade, provide a unique space to connect with God in nature. Over the past few years there have been a number of events held in the gardens for families including garden parties, a pancake party and pumpkin heroes. These will continue (see below for the next event) over the coming months as we are also looking to start weekly community events in the garden such as a community kitchen garden, an outdoor toddler group and gardening for health as some of the ideas. As we nurture the relationship between the community, church and garden the goal is to start a regular church gathering in the garden.
